Easiest Chicken Breast Recipes

Chicken is a great protein to know how to make. It is a lean protein and does not contain much cholesterol in comparison to red meats. Further, because it is a rather bland protein, it can be incorporated into a wide variety of dishes. Below is the easiest and quickest way to prepare fresh or frozen chicken breast, no stove or grill necessary.

Instant Pot – Frozen Chicken Breast Recipe
  • Place frozen chicken breasts in instant pot
  • Add in 1 cup (237 ml) chicken stock. Season with salt and garlic powder, or whatever seasonings you like
  • Set pressure cooker to 10 minutes on high pressure and turn the valve to seal. It will take longer for your pressure cooker to reach pressure due to meat being frozen, but it should not be longer than 12 minutes.
  • Once cook time has finished, let the pressure release naturally for 5 minutes, then do a quick release.
  • Remove the meat from the liquid and let rest for 5-10 minutes.

  • It will take less than 10 minutes for your pressure cooker to reach pressure.
  • Once cook time has elapsed, let the pressure release naturally for 5 minutes, then do a quick release.
  • Remove the meat from the liquid and let rest for 5-10 minutes.

These are two great ways to prep a quick and easy weeknight meal or to prepare the chicken to be used in a different recipe. Your Instant Pot can also be used to easily make shredded chicken, which would be a great lean-protein substitute in our lettuce wrap tacos!
